iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max RAM and Battery Capacity Revealed

When Apple announced the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro series earlier this week, it boasted about their increased battery life. The gains are impressive as well: Apple claims the iPhone 11 Pro lasts up to four hours longer than the iPhone XS while the iPhone 11 Pro Max lasts five hours longer than the iPhone XS Max.

The iPhone XR already had really impressive battery life and the iPhone 11 manages to offer an hour longer battery life than it.

While Apple boasted about battery life improvements, it did not confirm the battery capacity of these handsets. These details about the iPhone 11 series have now been revealed.

Below are the battery capacities of the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro series:

  • iPhone 11 – 3110mAh
  • iPhone 11 Pro – 3190mAh
  • iPhone 11 Pro Max – 3500mAh

The iPhone 11 ships with 3110mAh battery. For comparison, the iPhone XS, which the iPhone 11 replaces, features a 2942mAh battery.

The iPhone 11 Pro ships with a massive 3190mAh battery — a sizeable jump from the 2658mAh battery inside the iPhone XS. No wonder then that the handset is able to last four hours longer than its predecessor. A jump of around 450mAh is no small deal.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max ships with the biggest battery found inside an iPhone till date at 3500mAh. That’s again a sizeable jump from the 3174mAh found inside the iPhone XS Max.

The good thing is that Apple is also bundling an 18W USB-C charger with the iPhone 11 Pro series. This will ensure that despite their big batteries, the new iPhones charge from 0-50% in just 30 minutes.

The iPhone 11 has a slightly smaller battery life than the iPhone 11 Pro but since it ships with a lower-resolution LCD panel, it will offer longer battery life than the latter in real-world use.

As for the amount of RAM, Apple has bumped it to 4GB on the iPhone 11 — up from 3GB on the iPhone XR. The iPhone 11 Pro series gets a bigger jump and show ship with 6GB RAM compared to 4GB on the iPhone XS series. The additional RAM will definitely help improve the overall multitasking performance of the iPhone 11 Pro series compared to previous iPhones.
