There are just seven Saleen S7 LM models in existence and on April 10, Bonhams will look to auction off one of them.
While the Saleen S7 was first unveiled way back in 2000, the S7 LM wasn’t released until 2017. However, it wasn’t an all-new car; instead, Saleen recommissioned a handful of original S7 Twin Turbo models, updating them comprehensively.
This particular S7 LM is known as LM-003 and was completed in 2018. As part of the LM upgrades, the all-aluminum 7.0-liter V8 was updated with twin ball-bearing turbochargers and a new induction system. The upgraded engine is good for 1,000 hp when running on 91 octane fuel and 1,300 hp on racing fuel.
Elsewhere, Saleen fitted new six-piston brake calipers, bespoke five-spoke forged wheels and a carbon fiber fixed rear wing.
The interior comes complete with Sparco four-point racing harnesses, a Sparco steering wheel clad in Alcantara, air conditioning, a rear-view camera, keyless entry, and an AM/FM stereo system with GPS and Bluetooth. The Bonhams listing confirms the car has been driven less than 300 miles (482 km).
Another Saleen S7 LM recently sold for $1.2 million on Bring A Trailer and Bonhams is expecting this one to fetch between $1 million and $1.3 million.
