This is the 2022 BMW X2 Edition GoldPlay, a special version of the crossover that will be available from March 2022.
The X2 Edition GoldPlay model will be offered in xDrive25e and M35i guises. All variants benefit from M Sport suspension that drops the ride height by 10 mm (0.39 inches) and works alongside an M Sport steering system.
Accompanying these upgrades are tweaked front and rear bumpers with Dark Shadow inserts. There is also wheel arch trims and lower door edging finished in body color, M high-gloss Shadow Line trim, and the M Aerodynamics package. Further adding to the crossover is a high-gloss black finish across the window surrounds, window recess cover, B-pillar trim, C-pillar embellisher, and wing mirror arms.

Making the BMW fitting of the ‘GoldPlay’ name is the Galvanic Gold paint applied to the kidney grille surround, wing mirror caps, and an eye-catching motif running along the doors. Galvanic Gold accents are also found in the 19-inch standard and 20-inch optional M aerodynamic wheels.
The German car manufacturer has also introduced a new color dubbed San Remo Green metallic to the GoldPlay Edition, marking the first time this color has been offered on the X2. Shoppers can also order the X2 Edition GoldPlay in Alpine White, M Misano Blue, Sapphire Black metallic, Skyscraper Grey metallic, Storm Bay metallic, Frozen Black metallic, and Frozen Pure Grey metallic. Interestingly, models ordered in either of the two Frozen finishes don’t have gold accents on the kidney grille surround or mirror caps.
The alterations continue in the cabin with an M leather steering wheel, anthracite-colored headliner, M stainless steel pedals, M driver’s footrest, unique side sills with ‘Edition’ lettering in Galvanic Gold, various Dark Graphite trims, and M sport seats. Gold contrast stitching has also been applied to the instrument panel, center console, and outer and center armrests up front.
BMW has not yet announced pricing details for the X2 Edition GoldPlay.
