Today’s list includes all new titles headed to popular streaming platforms. The best new movie trailers and TV show teasers for upcoming streaming titles
Love is Blind: Japan
Love is Blind debuted on Netflix back in 2020 and saw 30 men and women partake in blind speed dating sessions across ten days. While the format proved popular in the US, it’s now heading to Japan. Notably, this version of the show seems less inclined to play for the camera and more respectful of the notion of love. Catch the trailer to see what we mean and the entire show on Netflix from February 8.
Will Arnette stars in this partially improvised whodunnit comedy. Each of the six episodes welcomes a new celebrity, including Ken Jeong, Sharon Stone, and Kumail Nanjiani. However, none of these stars are given a script. It sounds brilliant on paper, and the trailer provides some hints that it works in practice, too. Catch Murderville on Netflix from February 3.
Tyler Perry’s A Madea Homecoming
Madea is back at it again, only this time, she’s hosting a family celebration of her great-grandson’s college graduation. Expect the usual crass humor and a surprise cameo from Brendan O’Carroll of Mrs. Brown’s Boys. Catch the flick on Netflix from February 25.
The Afterparty
Finally, we’re ending this relatively brief trailer roundup with a surprise full episode. Apple TV Plus has published the first episode of The Afterparty in full to its YouTube page, allowing anyone to view it. The 49-minute episode focuses on Aniq (Sam Richardson), who we meet just before attending his 2006 reunion. The first three episodes of the show are available to stream on Apple TV Plus right now.
