TL;DR
- We expect the Motorola Edge 30 Pro to support a stylus.
- However, the phone itself won’t store the stylus. Instead, you’ll need a presumably optional case.
- The Edge 30 Pro should be one of the top-tier flagships from Motorola this year.
It looks like Motorola could be gunning for Android fans who appreciate a good stylus with the upcoming Motorola Edge 30 Pro. However, don’t expect it to be a full-on rival with the Galaxy S22 Ultra if some newly leaked promotional imagery is to be believed.
According to images and a short video from Evan Blass, the Edge 30 Pro could either come with or at least support a stylus. The stylus won’t slot into the device itself, though. Instead, Motorola looks to be mimicking what Samsung did with the Galaxy 21 Ultra by offering a specialized case that can slot the stylus.
It’s possible the Motorola Edge 30 Pro could come with the stylus and the case. We’re not sure about that for now. Check out the short video clip below to get a better idea of what’s on offer.
Motorola Edge 30 Pro: Stylus support?
The stylus here appears to be a step up over the one you find in less expensive Motorola phones, such as the aptly named Motorola Moto G Stylus. That stylus is essentially an inert chunk of plastic. The one that appears in this video looks to be more advanced.
It’s very possible the stylus could connect to the phone via Bluetooth, just like the one inside the Galaxy S22 Ultra. It’s also possible it could be a low-latency product, which would make writing feel more fluid and natural.
Unfortunately, we’ll need to wait a bit before we find any of this out. The phone is rumored to launch later this month.
Elsewhere, we expect the Edge 30 Pro to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, a huge display, a big battery, and fast wired charging, possibly exceeding 60W. Stay tuned!
