Ms Parker, who lost her job due to the pandemic, claims Universal Credit and has £280 a month to live on. She said she had thought broadband was a “luxury” she would not be able to afford at her new home. In January last year, a house fire destroyed her possessions and she has just moved out of temporary accommodation.
