  • The Samsung Galaxy A53 specs have apparently leaked online.
  • It’s believed that the phone could offer 8K recording capabilities.
  • This would seemingly be a first for mid-range smartphones.

We’ve seen several Samsung Galaxy A53 leaks in recent months, including renders and some specs. Now, a more comprehensive leak has dished out the mid-range phone’s entire spec sheet.

Twitter leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore has posted a comprehensive Galaxy A53 5G spec sheet, detailing all the apparent features you should expect.

Some of the core features mentioned here include a 6.5-inch 120Hz OLED screen (FHD+), an unannounced Exynos 1280 processor (with Mali-G68 MP4 graphics), 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging.

The Galaxy A53 is also said to have a 64MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 5MP macro camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. A 32MP camera in a central punch-hole cutout is said to handle video calls and selfies.

8K recording comes to the mid-tier?

Interestingly enough, the spec sheet also notes that the phone will offer 8K/24fps video recording. This could be the first time we see 8K video recording in a mid-range phone, having previously been restricted to phones with flagship silicon.

8K recording is still a somewhat niche feature given that 8K TVs and monitors to watch these videos aren’t really mainstream right now. Nevertheless, we hope Samsung includes its burst-like 8K Video Snap feature here too so users can extract 33MP frames from recorded 8K clips.

Another notable observation is that the apparent list of contents in the box doesn’t include a charger. This would be in line with a few recent budget Samsung phones and a recent leak, but would still be disappointing if true.

Other specs and features listed in this latest leak include Android 12 with One UI 4.1, Bluetooth 5.1, Gorilla Glass 5 on the front, an IP67 rating, an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, a plastic back, and Wi-Fi 5.

There’s no word on pricing or availability just yet, but Samsung is apparently gearing up to release new Galaxy A series phones later this month.
