A trove of classic BMWs and other models has been uncovered at an abandoned dealership’s workshop in Tarragona, Spain. The dealership serviced the surrounding area until ceasing operations sometime around 2010. Since then, the owner has moved the collection of vehicles that he’s amassed into a single location, with the rides ranging from mundane to insane.
The crew from the Youtube channel M539 Restorations visited the warehouse and filmed over an hour of footage.
The majority of the vehicles are so caked with dust, the color isn’t easily known without peering at the VIN tag. For example, the beautiful green-on-tan color combination of an E30 BMW 318i that has been sitting since 2008 was indiscernible without wiping away many years of accumulated filth. Next to the 318i, an E30 325i Cabriolet that has amassed just 16,112 miles (25,929km) since it rolled out of the factory. There’s also a V12-powered BMW 850i E31.

The crown jewel of the collection is an E28 BMW M5, stashed away behind boxes of Vespa parts. As the granddaddy of all super sedans, the M5 launched a craze for fast four-doors that we still see in the market today, and was the fastest production sedan in the world when it was released thanks to its 286 horsepower, 3.5-liter straight-six.
This particular example suffered severe crash damage on the left side which caved in the B-pillar and both of the doors, which would make this a difficult repair for anybody to undertake. Only 2,241 E28 M5 examples were produced, so even with the damage, this could still be a worthwhile project for a true enthusiast.
The fate of the M5 is echoed in many of the vehicles in the collection, including an E30 M3, of which the engine was changed, but then the owner passed away before the owner could pick it up.
Germany wasn’t the only country represented in the collection either, directly across from the dusty 318i were two Italian stallions, a Lancia Gamma and an Alfa Romeo GTV6. There were also multiple motorcycles, a Seat 131, an NSU Rotary, a Citroën Mehari, and even a Jeep Cherokee.
