Ken Block Goes Drifting In His All-White Audi RS e-tron GT

Ken Block recently picked up the keys to a brand new Audi RS e-tron GT as part of his partnership with the car manufacturer and while clearly a good car, he needed to see how it would perform once the rear wheels started spinning. After all, Block has made a name for himself for his drifting and powersliding and if the RS e-tron GT can’t do that, well then it might not be the right car for him.

The Gymkhana driver unveiled his modified RS e-tron GT in early March. It features a number of bespoke parts that make it stand out from any regular RS e-tron GT you’ll see in an Audi dealership. Most notably, it is rolling on a set of Rotiform wheels with an aero disc design at the front and a traditional six-spoke design at the rear. These wheels are painted white to match the paint of the car.

Powering the Audi RS e-tron GT are two electric motors pumping out a combined 590 hp and 612 lb-ft (830 Nm) of torque and off the line, power climbs to 637 hp with the Overboost function enabled.

Obviously, it doesn’t take Block a long time to get the Audi sideways but it does prove to be more difficult than the high-powered combustion engine cars he is used to driving. Most notably, the car lacks a hydraulic handbrake which makes it difficult to perform donuts as tightly as he normally would. In addition, he says that the weight of the car took quite a lot of time to get used to and that perfecting the required throttle inputs was also quite difficult. He also says that it felt like the car’s control systems were doing everything in their power to try and stop him from getting sideways. Not that they succeeded…
