2022 Mercedes-AMG EQS Performance Flagship Starts From $147,500 In The US

Mercedes announced the US pricing and availability for the performance flagship of the EQS range with the AMG emblem. The model will arrive in US dealerships in late spring 2022 starting from $147,500.

The Mercedes-AMG EQS Sedan as it is called in the United States – known as the Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ in other markets – is a lot cheaper than in the UK where it starts from £154,995 ($202,861). However, it is still significantly more expensive than the entry-level U.S.-spec EQS 450+ Premium which starts from $102,310 with the extra dollars going to the superior performance, the sportier bodykit and loads of standard equipment.

The most powerful member of the EQS range comes with AMG-specific dual electric motors producing a combined 649 hp (484 kW / 658 PS) and 950 Nm (701 lb-ft) of torque, or up to 751 hp (560 kW / 761 PS) and 1020 Nm (752 lb-ft) with the Dynamic Plus package. It comes standard with the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ variable all-wheel drive system, 9-degree rear-axle steering, and the adaptive AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension.

Mercedes-AMG EQS owners will benefit from two years of complimentary 30-minute DC Fast charging with the Electrify America Network and two years of free maintenance.
