Listen To The 2022 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4’s V12 Howl

The 2022 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 is a love letter to the wild supercar of the 1970s and ’80s, and now thanks to a video clip of the car leaving the factory, we can hear that it’s a love song as well.

YouTuber Varryx captured the supercar leaving the factory, where we can hear the glorious exhaust note of the 12-cylinder. Although it doesn’t use the same Bizzarrini designed engine as the original Countach, we can’t help but think that it does sound vaguely similar.

Powering the Italian supercar is a 6.5-liter V12 connected to a 48-volt mild-hybrid system borrowed from the Sian for a total system output of 803 horsepower. With that kind of power, the LPI 800-4 boasts a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time of just 2.8 seconds onto a top speed of 221 mph (340 km/h).

The engine is the same as the one found in the Lamborghini Aventador, but the unique four outlet exhaust of the Countach gives it a much different sound compared to the brand’s other cars.

This example appears to be a factory test prototype, sporting a unique set of wheels, as well as a gray hood panel. We doubt that somebody ordered the vehicle In this spec, but it would be nice to see an example in one of the other 30 colors that Lamborghini offers.

The second time the driver leaves the factory, he clearly tries to tone it down to avoid unwanted attention – as if that was possible in a Lambo.

Lamborghini plans to make 112 examples of the Countach LPI 800-4, and every single one of them is already sold.
