New Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 Looks Badass In Black

When Lamborghini unveiled the Countach LPI 800-4 back in August of last year, it was painted white, one of the most famous colors for the original car. And while many of the 112 buyers might want to have their car in the launch spec, with a $2.6 million dollar price tag there will naturally be a few who want something a bit more unique.

Enter this Countach LPI 800-4 spotted by YouTuber Varryx, which features a sinister dark color scheme. The car is painted black and has gunmetal wheels, which are offset by gold brake calipers. Overall, it makes for a unique spec that’s actually quite classy, though it’s worth noting that it’s not the only spec we’ve seen that differs from the launch.

In addition to the many launch spec cars he has seen testing, Varryx has also spotted a white one with dark bronze wheels and black brake calipers, a silver one with diamond cut wheels and red brake calipers, and a white one with black wheels and gold brake calipers. There’s also been a grey and white test car that wears the Sian’s bright bronze multispoke wheels, which likely isn’t representative of any production Countach, but it does give us a better idea of some possible color combinations.

That test car was actually the same one we featured earlier this month, where we got to hear its V12 hybrid powertrain come to life for the first time. That powertrain, which is shared with the Sian, combines a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system for a total output of 803 hp (814 PS / 599 kW) and 557 lb-ft (755 Nm) of torque. This system, or at least a similar one, is thought to foreshadow the future of Lamborghini powertrains after the pure, non-electrified V12 is phased out with the Aventador.
