BMW Showcases The 2022 M135i In Sao Paulo Yellow And With M Performance Parts

BMW has released a comprehensive gallery of the updated 2022 M135i xDrive, showing the premium hot hatch in a bright new color and outfitted with a host of M Performance Parts.

The first M135i xDrive you’ll see in the gallery is painted in a shade dubbed Sao Paulo Yellow. This vibrant color was introduced with the new M3 and M4 and is one of the most outlandish in BMW’s current palette. It’s certainly not to everyone’s taste but for those looking to stand out and make a statement, it could prove to be perfect.

Helping to somewhat tone down the color is the fact that this M135i xDrive also has a number of gloss black accents across the exterior. These include the front kidney grilles, the lower front grille, wing mirrors, two-tone black and silver wheels, and a black diffuser. We think a gloss black roof could also look quite nice but alas, it doesn’t have one.

The second M135i xDrive featured is finished in Frozen Pure Grey, also a new color for the 2022 model. However, it is not the color that makes this particular car stand out but rather the host of M Performance Parts that it features. The suite of accessories available for the flagship 1-Series is comprehensive and includes gloss black across the splitter, front canards, and side skirts.

Making a big statement is forged carbon fiber across the aggressive rear diffuser, providing the M135i with a very premium and expensive look. Forged carbon is also found on the wing mirrors. Other M Performance Parts featured include a large roof spoiler, an Alcantara and leather-wrapped steering wheel and new floor mats.

As a reminder, the 2022 BMW M135i is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine punching out 302 hp and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque. Mated as standard to this engine is an eight-speed automatic transmission that drives all four wheels.
