This Shop Turns Cheap Toyotas Into A Dodge Challengers, Kias Into Ford Mustang Replicas

What do you do when you can’t afford the latest and greatest sports car? Make your own of course! That’s what a tuning shop in Pakistan did, using cheap vintage cars and a whole lot of metalwork know-how.

YouTube channel Sbc Modifier can build just about anything, and one of their creations is a modern Dodge Challenger built out of a Toyota Mark 1.

If we’re honest, the transformation is actually quite good. Obviously it’s not perfect and we can tell it isn’t a real Challenger because of the proportions and extra doors, but the workmanship is impressive considering the resources available.

Once the paint goes on, we can barely tell that the body panels have been stitched together with multiple pieces of steel, and the paint itself looks better than some of the modified cars we’ve seen in the United States.

If you fancy yourself a widebody instead, the builder has also created one of those out of a Vauxhall Victor. In addition to the Challenger, the channel also features builds of a Mustang GT made out of Kia Spectra, a Rocket Bunny S13 from a Corolla KE70, and a Rolls-Royce made out of a 1995 Toyota Corona.

Not even Dodge itself makes these pieces out of steel, on a real Challenger it’s an injection-molded piece of plastic. The metalwork that the builders perform is great, and if you’ve never tried to make a piece of steel bend and contour into the desired shape, you don’t understand just how much is involved in the process.

And those welds aren’t MIG or TIG, they’re oxy-acetylene and filler rods, which is a truly old school way to build cars and requires quite an amount of skill.

Not all the cars the garage builds are replicas, however; the channel also restores vintage vehicles back to their original glory, and offers light modifications as well, such as Lamborghini doors and fender flares.
