After years of being a Cadillac exclusive, Super Cruise is slowly spreading across General Motor’s lineup.
The latest models to get the hands-free semi-autonomous driving system are the 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, which will go into production late this summer.
Set to be offered on the range-topping High Country and Premier trims, Super Cruise makes long trips more relaxing as the system handles acceleration, braking, and steering so drivers only need to monitor the road ahead and be ready to takeover control when required. The system works on more than 200,000 miles (321,869 km) of compatible roads in the United States and Canada.

Additional changes are limited, but the 2023 Tahoe and Suburban gain three new exterior colors known as Silver Sage Metallic, Sterling Grey Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat. LS, LT, RST, and Premier customers can also opt for a new accessory black grille that features “Chevrolet” lettering.
Engine options carryover and include a 5.3-liter V8 that pumps out 355 hp (265 kW / 360 PS) and 383 lb-ft (519 Nm) of torque. However, customers should consider upgrading to the phenomenal 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel inline-six that develops 277 hp (207 kW / 281 PS) and 460 lb-ft (624 Nm) of torque. Buyers looking for something more powerful can opt for the 6.2-liter V8, which brings 420 hp (313 kW / 426 PS) and 460 lb-ft (624 Nm) of torque to the table.
Besides three powertrain options, the Tahoe and Suburban can be equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an air ride adaptive suspension, and magnetic ride control. Other highlights include an independent rear suspension and an available 10.2-inch infotainment system.
