It has been more than a decade since the Lamborghini Aventador was launched and to send it off in style, CarWow recently arranged an epic drag race between all of the main variants introduced over the years.
The first of the models included in the race is the original Aventador, driven by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 pumping out 690 hp and 509 lb-ft (690 Nm) of torque. While it is over 10 years old, it is still a remarkable performance car and turns heads unlike anything else on the road.
The second car that CarWow brought along was an Aventador SV. This debuted in 2015 as the hardcore variant of the mid-engined supercar and in addition to featuring some aerodynamic upgrades, has slightly more grunt with 740 hp and also weighs 50 kg (110 lbs) less.

Joining these two is the Aventador S which was introduced as the mid-life refresh for the Italian supercar. It produces 730 hp and 509 lb-ft from its V12. The final two models brought along for the performance tests was an Aventador SVJ with 759 hp and 531 lb-ft (731 Nm) and the brand new Aventador Ultimae with 769 hp and 531 lb-ft (731 Nm).
Before the races begun, however, there was one issue. The Ultimae brought along only had a touch over 100 miles on the clock and as such, the launch control system couldn’t be enabled. Consequently, it was removed from the tests.
In the first race, the driver of the Aventador SV got the best launch and took the win. Things are more evenly matched in the second race with the Aventador S and the SVJ both rocketing off the line very well, leaving the others in their dust.
In the third and final race, the SV got the best launch but it and the S and SVJ all crossed the finish line in exactly 10.8 seconds. However, it was the regular S that finished roughly an inch ahead of the others.
