Meet The MegaBronc, A Ford F-250 With Three Rows And A Bronco Face

MegaRexx Trucks today unveiled its vision for a super-sized Bronco. Or sort of. It’s actually a Ford F-250 that has been heavily modified to feature a third row in what was once the bed, and a signature Bronco face transplant, hence the name.

The truck serves more as evidence that badge engineering is harder than you might think, the Megabronc is also a massive SUV (Sort of Utility Vehicle) for those who saw the Bronco and were disappointed by its puniness.

To make it, MegRexx Trucks started with a 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab Lariat, so it will at least have some luxurious accouterments. The truck retains its factory 10-speed TorqShift automatic transmission, the FX4 Off-Road Package, blind-spot monitoring, panoramic dual moonroofs, heated and cooled seats, a heated steering wheel, and Lithium Gray with Ebony Black micro-perforated leather seats.

Those seats are repeated exactly in the second row, giving backseat passengers bucket seats. If you have a lot of people to carry, though, there’s a third row. This one is a bench seat, but the upholstery matches the seats ahead of it and its power-folding.

Passengers in the third row, though, are under what appears to be a mercifully upholstered truck bed cap. Sat on what was originally the bed, they do at least get carpeting and MegaRexx Trucks says that the cap is removable, so they can feel the wind through their hair. There’s also a (pretty sizable) steel safety cage to protect the passengers whether or not the fiberglass cap is on.

This Dinosaur Runs On A 475hp 6.7-liter V8 Turbo Diesel

Powered by a 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 turbo diesel engine, the MegaBronc gets 475 hp (335 kW/456 PS) and 1,050 lb-ft (1,424 Nm) of torque. The power is sent to satin black 20×12-inch MR605 Method Race wheels that are wrapped in 40×14.5 Atturo mud-terrain tires. It also gets Dana 60 front and rear axles to make up for the big wheels and it’s running 4:56 gears.

The front and rear fenders, meanwhile, are bolted and bonded into place and make the truck eight inches wider than stock, so bear that in mind when you’re considering garage space.

“If you love the looks of the Bronco but need to tow a heavy load or haul 6 friends or family around, then we’ve got you covered,” said Aaron Richardet, owner of MegaRexx. “This truck has more space, more capacity, and most important…..more of a statement!”
