This Lamborghini Vision GT Made From Wood Will Blow Your Mind

We never fail to be blown away by some of the homebuilt supercar replicas coming to life in South East Asia and this particular creation from ND – Woodworking Art is one of the most impressive we’ve seen.

You may be familiar with ND – Woodworking Art on YouTube. In 2021, he created mini Lamborghini Sian, Bugatti Centodieci, and Ferrari 250 GTO replicas from wood and most recently, decided to build a Lamborghini V12 GT Vision Gran Turismo replica for his young son.

The V12 GT Vision Gran Turismo is one of the most outlandish concept cars introduced by Lamborghini in the past decade so replicating its out-of-this-world looks is obviously no easy task.

To start the project, the talented builder began by constructing a simple steel frame for the car and installing it with all the necessary suspension and braking components to make it functional. A small electric motor was also fitted. Once the frame was complete, the builder sprayed everything and crafted both a hood and tailgate that can lift up remotely.

Work then started on the bodywork and whereas Lamborghini built its Vision Gran Turismo Concept with all kinds of exotic materials, this replica’s body has been made solely from wood. This clip shows the YouTuber cutting, gluing, and crafting all of the concept’s dramatic panels from wood before fixing them to the steel frame. He even went to the trouble of creating wooden brake calipers and wooden hub caps that sit over the rear wheels.

Inspiration from the concept was also taken into the replica’s interior, in particular with its futuristic-looking steering wheel. A fake engine cover was also crafted from wood while a number of brightly-colored LEDs also adorn the car’s exterior.

Remarkably, the title of the video suggests it took just 96 days to create the replica.
