Would You Rather Have This Low Mileage 2004 Acura NSX-T Or A New One?

A low mileage 2004 Acura NSX-T is up for sale on Bring A Trailer for the second time in less than a year. After being a one-owner vehicle until its recent sale it’s about to change hands once again. Considering how much it went for back then, we think it could be one amazing way to spend six figures.

The NSX-T in question is one of just 197 units sold here in the United States for the 2004 model year. To further its rarity, just 23 of those cars feature the stunning Silverstone Metallic paint seen here. Inside, the new owner will find a silver leather interior and perhaps most importantly, a six-speed manual transmission.

With just 22,000 miles on the odometer since new, this NSX-T is sure to have a long life ahead of it. Under the rear decklid is a 3.2-liter VTEC V6 that develops a claimed 290 hp and 224 lb-ft of torque with a redline of 8,000 rpm. That’s not a lot by today’s standards but it certainly doesn’t detract from this car’s pedigree.

Since taking delivery of this car last year, the most recent owner has actually done quite a bit of work on it. The steering rack was rebuilt and the rear bumper was refinished in an effort to address imperfections. Even the tiniest details have been cared for too. The seat bolsters were redyed and the capacitors for the sound system and amplifiers were replaced as well. The only aftermarket part on the car is a freer-flowing intake. While we don’t know how much those repairs cost, we do know that when the car sold in 2021, it went for $145,000.

As of this writing, it’s sitting at $110,000 with two days to go. We wouldn’t be shocked to see it crest over $150,000. From nose to tail, this is one of the finest remaining examples of the NSX-T that we’ve seen recently.

In a world where quite a few cars can rocket from 0-60 in 2 seconds and SUVs can lap the Nurburgring in less than eight minutes, sometimes outright speed isn’t the most important thing. This Acura NSX isn’t the technological tour de force that the modern one is, but perhaps that’s a part of its charm. Swapping from one gear to the next at full throttle while enjoying the NSX’s outstanding balance is something special and in this example you could experience it every day.
