This Lamborghini Miura Is The Best Looking Pontiac Fiero Ever

Automotive replicas have a pretty rough rap in the enthusiast community. Of course, if the vast majority of them didn’t look so rough in terms of fit, finish, and proportions, that might not be the case and this stunning Lamborghini Miura on top of a Pontiac Fiero chassis is so detailed and so accurate that it’s almost unbelievable.

We don’t say that lightly either. Before we talk about the exterior, take a quick look at the inside of the cabin. If you’re a hardcore Lamborghini fan you’ll recognize pretty much everything. The center console, the dash, and the door cards are all but identical to the real Miura.

Above the passengers, the headliner is even correct as is the overhead control panel with the right kind of switches arranged in the period-correct three-by-three pattern. The vast majority of every surface you see on the inside was custom-made specifically to mimic the original car while fitting on the Fiero chassis.

Perhaps the most impressive part about this car is that in terms of overall dimensions it looks accurate. Of course, it should look good because the builders pushed the front cross-member and wheels five inches further away from the rear ones so that the wheelbase is identical to the real Miura.

The hood opens by pivoting forward as it should and features integrated steel to help the fiberglass keep its shape. The pop-up headlights even work correctly! The rear engine cover likewise behaves as the real car would. Underneath that panel isn’t some gaudy four-cylinder or underpowered V6 either.

Instead, a new LS3 V8 crate engine has been installed and should be good for around 500 hp (372 kW). Mind you, there is one part on this car from a real Miura and it’s the door lock. Even that, though, has been customized to activate a switch instead of turning a locking mechanism.

From nose to tip and underneath every panel this replica isn’t just good, it’s outstanding. Show up with this thing at a cars and coffee and even the most cynical fan will likely respect it.
