Yet Another Low-Mileage Porsche Carrera GT Has Hit The Market

A handful of low-mileage Porsche Carrera GT models have traded hands for staggering amounts of money this year and this 2004 example is just the latest.

This particular Carrera GT rolled off the assembly line on May 4, 2004 and was first registered in Florida. It is now up for sale through Bring a Trailer and importantly, has only ever been driven 1,300 miles (2,092 km). The seller is also selling it with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, service records, and a clean Washington title.

Like most Carrera GTs, this one is painted in GT Silver Metallic with matching removable roof panels. It also continues to sit on the standard forged magnesium wheels measuring 19×9.5 at the front and 20×12.5 at the rear. They are wrapped in 265/35 front and 335/30 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

The inside of this Porsche is particularly stunning. It features carbon fiber and Kevlar bucket seats trimmed in Ascot Brown leather with black accents. Brown leather is also found across the dashboard, A-pillars, center console, and door panels. Various pieces of the interior are also finished in magnesium, carbon fiber, and aluminum, and while the Carrera GT is quite a hardcore performance car, it does come with amenities like power windows, air conditioning, power and heated side mirrors, and a CD stereo system. The laminated beechwood shift knob is the cherry on top.

The Carrera GT is famous for many reasons and one of these is its engine. Slotted beneath the timeless bodywork is a 5.7-liter naturally-aspirated V10 with dual overhead camshafts on each cylinder bank, titanium connecting rods, and dry-sump lubrication. It pumps out 605 hp at 8,000 rpm and 435 lb-ft (590 Nm) of torque at 5,750 rpm.

Prices of used Carrera GTs have skyrocketed this year. In January, a red example with 780 miles sold for $1.9 million and just a couple of weeks later, an even lower-mileage unit fetched $2 million. A 2005 model driven just 27 miles (43 km) was also listed for sale for $3.5 million in March.
