Honda has been spied testing its upcoming Prologue EV for the very first time and according to our spy photographers, it could share a lot in common with the Chevrolet Blazer EV.
We’ve known for quite some time that the Honda Prologue EV would be underpinned by GM’s scalable Ultium battery-electric architecture. However, it has remained unclear if Honda will share anything else with GM models.

While analyzing the spy photographs, it appears likely that the Prologue EV won’t just have GM’s Ultium architecture but will have a lot in common with the Blazer EV. In fact, our photographers speculate that it will share key hard points with the Chevrolet and likely have an identical wheelbase. Furthermore, the small triangular windows at the front cowl and above the rear doors appear identical to the Blazer EV. Even the door handles appear to have been borrowed from the Chevy.
Speaking of the design as a whole, we can see that the Prologue will have headlights that flow seamlessly into the front grille. It will also have a sleek roofline that features a prominent shark fin and the rear three-quarter does look quite similar to the Blazer EV, most notably with the subtle spoiler, as well as the shape and size of the rear window.
The Honda Prologue EV is rumored to make use of the same powertrain options as the Chevrolet, which certainly makes sense since it’s based on GM’s Ultium underpinnings. If that’s true, then we already know what to expect.
Sitting at the base of the Blazer EV range is the 1LT variant and while Chevrolet hasn’t said how much power it has, we know it features a single electric motor at the front wheels and is good for 247 miles (397 km) of range. Other possibilities include a Prologue EV to mimic the Blazer EV 2LT with its optional all-wheel drive and 293-mile (471 km) range, and the RS, which offers front-, rear-, and all-wheel drive configurations and approximately 320 miles (515 km) of range. We think it is unlikely Honda will offer an alternative to the Blazer EV SS that has a dual-motor powertrain and packs 557 hp and 648 lb-ft (878 Nm).
