Feuerbach Is Creating A Special Porsche 911 GT3 Dubbed The GTL Coupe

A little-known company by the name of Feuerbach has previewed a special Porsche 911-based model it is developing, dubbed the GTL Coupe.

Feuerbach was founded by 2019 by the former chief designer for Nissan Europe, Christopher Reitz. Reitz also happens to be the grandson of Ferdinand Porsche and created the company to design and produce a series of low-volume, hand-built cars that pay homage to the Porsche family.

The first of these models will be the Feuerbach Porsche GTL Coupe. It is based around a 997-generation 911 GT3 and while it will share the same chassis, it will sport a unique carbon fiber body styled by Reitz and the company’s design team in Barcelona.

Teaser images show that the GTL Coupe will feature a particularly striking rear end with unique LED taillights and a distinctive engine cover in place of the normal rear window. The sports car will also feature unique front and rear quarter panels and rock a bespoke bumper with a carbon fiber diffuser.

The German company will also work its magic on the GT3’s engine. In place of the car’s original 3.8-liter flat-six will be a hand-built 4.3-liter naturally aspirated engine pumping out 540 hp at 8,500 rpm. Feuerbach will also offer more powerful versions of the same engine. This mill will be coupled to a six-speed manual or a PDK transmission, both hand-built by an unnamed Porsche supplier.

A host of other performance upgrades will be available to customers, including new braking and suspension components.

A single image of the Porsche GTL Coupe’s interior has also been released. It shows a unique carbon fiber transmission tunnel, carbon fiber door panels, and a plethora of new materials that owners will be able to customize. Those seeking the ultimate in performance will also be able to order the GTL Coupe with a roll cage, competition-spec seats and harnesses, and race-ready brakes, suspension, and wheels.

Prices for the Porsche GTL Coupe are expected to start at $550,000, excluding any bespoke customer options and local taxes.
