The production-ready Avatr 11 has just launched in China, roughly 10 months after first being unveiled by the brand in November last year.
Brought to life by a joint venture between Changan Automobile, lithium-ion battery provider CATL, and Huawei, the Avatr 11 is underpinned by the EP1 platform and is 4,880 mm long (192 inches), 1,970 mm (77.5 inches) wide, and 1,601 mm (63 inches) tall, complete with a 2,975 mm (117 inch) wheelbase.
Driving the Avatr 11 are a pair of electric motors that combine to produce 578 hp and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque. These motors were developed by Huawei and consist of a 265 hp unit driving the front wheels while found at the rear is a 313 hp motor. These motors receive their juice from a 90.38 kWh battery pack in standard guise or a 116.79 kWh pack in the flagship model.

Avatr says that 11 can sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 3.98 seconds and continue through to a limited top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph). Variants equipped with the 90.38 kWh battery are good for 555 km (345 miles) of range over the Chinese testing cycle while the 116.79 kWh-equipped models are good for 680 km (422 miles). Car News China notes that the SUV supports 240 kW charging, meaning 200 km (124 miles) of range can be added in as little as 10 minutes.
The SUV is packing plenty of other impressive technologies, too. For example, it features a complex intelligent driving system that sports 34 different sensors, including 3 LiDARS, allowing for assisted driving on highways and smaller roads. Among the key features are lane change assist, traffic light recognition, and pedestrian detection.
Shoppers will be able to purchase the Avatr 11 in either four-seat or five-seat guise. Both models are dominated by a dashboard that houses a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, and a 10.25-inch passenger display, all running Huawei software. There are also two wireless charging pads and a 14-speaker sound system complete with Road Noise Cancellation and an Active Sound Enhancement system.
Those in the second row of the five-seat version get air vents but not much else. The four-seater version is more luxurious and has two captain’s chairs separated by a large console.
Local pricing for the Avatr 11 kicks off at 349,900 RMB, roughly the equivalent of $51,800. Prices swell to 369,900 RMB ($54,785) for a slightly more luxurious trim level. The standard range is then topped out by the 116.78 kWh version, priced from 409,900 RMB ($60,700). Last but not least is the Avatr 011 MMW unveiled back in May available from 600,000 RMB ($88,865).
