Place Your BaTs: How High Will This 7.5k Mile 1979 Porsche 930 Turbo Go?

Few Porsche models are more iconic than a 1979 930 Turbo and one particularly clean, low-mileage example is currently up for grabs.

This particular 930 Turbo was purchased new by the current owner from Steve Taub Porsche Audi in California and is offered on dealer consignment with partial service records, owner’s manuals, a tool kit, and a clean Oregon title.

Adorning the exterior of the sports car is a simple shade of gloss black and it also features rear fender stone guards. It continues to be equipped with the original 16-inch staggered-width Fuchs wheels, although they were refinished in preparation for the sale. Wrapped around these wheels are Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires measuring 205/55 at the front and 225/50 at the rear. The 930 Turbo was equipped with new brake hoses in June 2022 and also had the brake fluid flushed.

The cabin is just as restrained as the exterior and features black leather seats and black leather across the dashboard and door panels. The air conditioning system was recently repaired, the steering column bushing was replaced, and the door panels were re-dyed earlier this month.

Found beneath the skin of the 930 Turbo is a turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six that was good for 261 hp and 291 lb-ft (394 Nm) of torque from the factory. Coupled to this engine is a four-speed manual transmission powering the rear wheels. The Bring a Trailer listing notes that the driveline was removed, the fuel tank cleaned, the transaxle resealed, the flywheel resurfaced, and the crankshaft seal, cooling fan, and alternator all replaced during a May 2022 service.

Making the car all the more desirable is the fact that it has only ever had one owner and been driven just ~7,000 miles (~11,265 km).
