The new Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel is based around the Power Wagon and is available with a 6.7-liter Cummins turbo-diesel inline-six that produces 370 hp and 850 lb-ft (1,152 Nm) of torque. This engine works alongside a six-speed automatic transmission as standard. A handful of styling elements distinguish the Heavy Duty Rebel from other models. These include distinctive badging and a “sport performance” hood from Mopar. It has also been equipped with 20-inch wheels as standard (18-inch wheels will be an option) and sits on 33-inch off-road tires. Ram has also fitted skid plates to protect the fuel tank and transfer case while also fitting cargo tie-downs as standard. A spray-in bedliner, LED bed lighting, and bed step are also available.

Customers can also order the Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Rebel with a 12,000 lbs (5,443 kg) WARN Zeon-12 winch when the truck is equipped with the 6.4-liter HEMI V8. Rear air suspension is also available and promises to enhance the ride and handling qualities. The truck is good to tow up to 16,780 lbs (7,611 kg) and has a maximum payload of 3,140 lbs (1,424 kg).

Found in the cabin of the new truck are three seating options that include a cloth bench or bucket seat, a Bristol leather bench or bucket seat, and a full Natura Plus leather bucket seat. A 360-degree Surround View camera is also standard while a 12-inch digital instrument cluster is an option. The truck can also be equipped with adaptive cruise control, full-speed forward-collision warning plus, Lane Keep Assist, Blind-spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path detection, automatic headlamps, a digital rearview mirror with tow mode and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Sales of the truck will start in the fourth quarter of 2022 with an MSRP of $67,045 plus a $1,895 destination fee.
