Deep Purple Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro Laden With Carbon Looks Near Perfect

A particularly bold 2020 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R Pro has just hit the used car market and is one of the best-looking examples that we’ve come across.

The supercar has been listed up for sale on Bring a Trailer with ~9,000 miles (~14,481 km) under its belt and comes at no reserve with a battery tender, a VMI report, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title.

Making the car stand out from most other Mercedes-AMG GT models we’ve seen is the Northern Lights Violet Metallic exterior finish which we think looks superb. As this is a GT R Pro variant, it also has a plethora of exposed carbon fiber parts, including the roof, front splitter, fender vents, and enlarged rear diffuser.

While we think the standard wheels would have looked great alongside the purple paint, the previous owner has fitted it with bronze-finished HRE P104 forged wheels measuring 19-inches at the front and 20-inches at the rear and wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The listing notes the car also has rear-axle steering and the optional AMG High-Performance Ceramic Composite Braking System.

A look inside the cabin of the car reveals power-adjustable and heated AMG Performance seats clad in a combination of black Nappa leather with Dinamica synthetic suede inserts and yellow contrast stitching. It also rocks a steering wheel trimmed in Dinamica with a yellow center stripe.

Found beneath the massive hood of the car is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that, in stock form, is good for 577 hp at 6,250 rpm and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque at 5,500 rpm. However, the seller notes that it has been tuned by Weistec Engineering and has aftermarket downpipes. Grunt is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission.
