We love new Ferrari supercars like the F8 Tributo and 296 GTB as much as anyone but there’s just something about the brand’s models from the mid-2000s. Take this Ferrari F430, for example.
Currently listed up for auction through Bring a Trailer, this F430 is a 2005 model and while that may seem quite old, it has only been driven some 15,000 miles (~24,000 km) since new. It has also been adorned with a host of aftermarket accessories that add to its appeal. The car is being sold with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, and a clean Texas title.

Visually, the F430 obviously doesn’t look as modern as the brand’s existing models but by no means does it look outdated. In fact, we still think it looks superb despite almost being two decades old. The exterior of this example is finished in Rosso Scuderia and it has been equipped with a set of 19-inch front and 20-inch rear Finspeed F40 split-spoke wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 235/35 up front and 325/25 at the rear.
The listing notes that the car has also been fitted with height adjustable spring perches to lower the ride height.
Then we get to the juiciest part of all. Powering the car is a screaming, naturally aspirated 4.3-liter V8 engine that has aftermarket software, carbon fiber airboxes, ceramic-coated iPE headers, and a Novitec cat-back exhaust. This engine was once coupled to a six-speed F1 sequential but in May this year, the owner had it converted to a six-speed manual transmission thanks to EAG in Texas. While Ferrari’s current models may out-perform the F430, they cannot match the driver engagement that a gated stick shift provides.
