Should The Dodge Ram SRT-10 Get A Modern Hellcat Successor?

Should The Dodge Ram SRT-10 Get A Modern Hellcat Successor?

This is an independent design study by wb.artist20 that has not been endorsed by RAM.

The beloved 6.2-liter Hellcat supercharged V8 has found its way into a plethora of models over the years, including perhaps the craziest creation of them all, the Ram 1500 TRX.

The TRX takes the form of an off-road-focused Ford F-150 Raptor rival with an all-conquering powertrain. However, it’s not the only high-performance pickup previously produced by Dodge or Ram. Between 2004 and 2006, the carmaker built the Ram SRT-10, equipped with the same 8.3-liter naturally-aspirated V10 as the third-generation Viper.

Inspired by the SRT-10, designer wb.artist20 has imagined a modern-day successor, dubbed the Hellram. While it has been conceived with a supercharged Hellcat engine just like the TRX, it ditches its off-road parts and has a sole focus on providing extreme levels of performance on the street.

The artist started off by overhauling the front fascia of the Ram with a carbon fiber bumper, grille surround, and tweaked headlights. The truck has then been fitted with an aggressive hood with a large central air intake, louvers on the sides, and a prominent power bulge. A quick look at the hood is all you need to understand that this pickup means business.

The unique touches continue along the sides where the Hellram sits on a set of aftermarket wheels and has carbon fiber fender flares and side skirts. You’ll also notice it has a single cab design and is rocking a set of massive brake discs and calipers from Wilwood.

We’re particularly fond of the truck’s rear end, thanks to the carbon fiber cover over the bed, the carbon fiber spoiler, and the carbon fiber rear bumper.
