Hennessey’s Mammoth 1000 TRX Turns Into An Overlanding Pickup With 1,012 HP

Hennessey’s Mammoth 1000 TRX Turns Into An Overlanding Pickup With 1,012 HP

Hennessey revealed the world’s most powerful overlanding truck based on the RAM 1500 TRX. The Mammoth 1000 TRX Overland Edition produces 1,012 hp and has all the features you need for camping adventures in the wilderness.

The modular kit on the rear bed comes with a special rack supporting a hard-shell rooftop tent, a retractable 55-inch awning, auxiliary fuel tanks, and a pressurized water reservoir. A retractable ladder provides access to the sleeping area, while plenty of accessories can be mounted on the sides including a 28-inch splitting axe, a shovel, and LED perimeter illumination.

The adventurous Hennessey Mammoth 1000 TRX is also equipped with the Stage 2 off-road package. This means it rides on beadlock-style alloy wheels shod in 37-inch off-road tires and it comes fitted with a leveling kit and custom bumpers featuring an integrated bull bar and extra LED lights at the front. Automatic fold-out steps make it easier to access the cabin of the 77.6-inch (1.97 m) tall pickup.

Under the bonnet lies a 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 that has been upgraded with Hennessey’s high-flow 2.65-liter supercharger, larger fuel injectors, a high-flow induction system, and special calibration, taking it to a monstrous 1,012 hp (755 kW / 1,026 PS) and 969 lb-ft (1,314 Nm) of torque. The power is transmitted to all four wheels, allowing a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.2 seconds and an 11.4-second quarter mile, although the extra weight of the overlanding gear could have an effect on those numbers.

The adventurous and extremely powerful model can be purchased as a complete vehicle from Hennessey. However, the overlanding package can be retrofitted to the rear bed of any existing RAM 1500 TRX-based Mammoth build at a cost of $19,950. Interested parties can place their order in authorized Ram retailers, or directly from Hennessey.
