Ferrari Purosangue Is $165,000 More Expensive Than A Lambo Urus In The UK

Ferrari has announced the pricing details of its first SUV, and as expected, it’s going to be very expensive. The all-new Purosangue starts at £313,120 ($379,658) in the UK. Pound for pound that puts it well above rivals like the Lamborghini Urus and the Aston Martin DBX.

Despite that, we expect these things to sell hand over fist. Under the hood of the Purosangue lies a V12 engine that develops 715 hp (533 kW) and 528 lb-ft (715 Nm). Better yet, it develops all this power without the use of electrification or turbocharging. It then sends that power to all four wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Compared to its rivals from Lamborghini and Aston Martin, the Purosangue is a bit shorter in height and length while also being wider. It also employs a set of trick Multimatic dampers that control body roll through the use of internal electric motors.

The package will see this four-door Ferrari rocket from 0-60 in just 3.3 seconds and onto a top speed of 193 mph (310 km/h).

Ferrari will only build a couple of thousand Purosangues each year. In fact, it might have to close order books due to its already lengthy list of pre-orders. While £313,000 is less than previous estimates stated, it’s still considerably more expensive than the Urus, which starts around £177,000 ($215,000), and the DBX, which rings in at £160,000 ($194,000).

Ferrari has yet to announce US pricing but we imagine it won’t be far off. Keep in mind too that practically none of Purosangue’s customer examples will be sold as base models as Ferrari owners tend to spend thousands more on Ferrari’s optional features.
