The World’s Fastest Lexus LX600 Sprints Down The Quarter-Mile In 12.8 Seconds

If you live in the Middle East and own a vehicle that you want to tune, then EKanooRacing is the place to go.

Over the years, the company has created some of the world’s fastest street-legal production cars and works its magic on everything from million-dollar supercars to luxury SUVs. The Lexus LX600 is the latest vehicle to benefit from its expertise and the finished product is quite the beast.

As standard, the LX600 is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 delivering 409 hp and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) of torque, very solid figures for a vehicle like this. While EKanooRacing hasn’t revealed what upgrades it has made to this LX600, it says that it benefits from “very minor mods” and was able to lay down some very impressive figures during recent quarter-mile testing.

The LX600 weighs in at a hefty 6,500 lbs but EKanooRacing was able to record a 0-96 km/h (0-60 mph) time of just 4.6 seconds, matching what some legitimate sports cars can do. The SUV continues to pull strong above 60 mph and finished the quarter-mile in a best time of 12.8 seconds at 171 km/h (106 mph).

Luxurious SUVs like the LX600 and the Toyota Land Cruiser on which it is based are very popular throughout the Middle East and often serve as the base for some insane builds. In fact, there are plenty of SUVs in the Middle East pumping out in excess of 1,000 hp and delivering levels of performance that some supercars could only dream of matching.
