Sure, the McLaren 600LT may be the baby of the carmaker’s hardcore ‘LT’ models but it remains an absolute weapon both on the track and on the road. Unfortunately, there is no one fewer of them out there.

This particular 600LT recently popped up online through IAAI and is up for auction but it has seen better days. The supercar is located in Seattle, Washington and had attracted a highest bid of $50,025 at the time of writing.

Watch: The McLaren 600LT Is One Seriously Hardcore Supercar

The damage sustained to this 600LT is quite strange. You’ll notice that much of the front bumper and one of the headlights has been ripped off. In addition, the passenger side front quarter panel is completely missing. The roof of the McLaren has then been completely caved in, as has the windshield. It’s hard to say just how this has happened but it’s almost as though the car flipped upright and hit a pole with its roof.

What On Earth Happened To This McLaren 600LT?

Whatever the case may be, other images also show that significant damage has been sustained to the rear of the car and that the fixed carbon fiber wing is completely missing. All in all, this 600LT is a very sad sight.

The listing notes that the car still starts so that at the very least, the powertrain should be salvageable and could be reused. It’s likely that many of the interior parts could also be saved.

As a reminder, the McLaren 600LT is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 pumping out 592 hp. The car also weighs 211 lbs (96 kg) less than a standard 570S and is able to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 2.8 seconds, 124 mph (200 km/h) in 8.2 seconds and continue through to a 204 mph (328 km/h) top speed.
