A 1959 Chevrolet Corvette unlike any other you’ve seen before is heading to auction in January thanks to Barrett-Jackson.

One of the standouts of Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction, this ’59 Corvette has been overhauled by Hot Rod Service Company. Underpinning the car is a hand-fabricated boxed chassis that has been both widened and stretched. It also features chassis cross bracing and custom exhaust ports, fabricated body mounts, and interior chassis roll bar supports. It also features a hand-fabricated rear-end housing and a 4-link system with a custom wishbone.

The upgrades continue under the skin with custom suspension mounts and an Accuair setup that allows the car to be dropped very low when it’s on display. A new set of Wilwood drilled and slotted brake discs have also been fitted, measuring 15-inches at the front, 14-inches at the rear, and complemented by six-piston calipers. Hot Rod Service Company also fitted stainless-steel brake lines, a stainless-steel fuel system with a stainless tank, a taillight fuel filler, and a Wilwood dual master cylinder.

The engine takes the form of a Chevrolet LS7 complete with a custom camshaft, a Kinsler carbon fiber IR Cross-Ram, front runner serpentine kit, and a bespoke dual cold-air intake. While the listing doesn’t mention how much power the car has, we know the V8 is mounted to a Chevrolet 6L90E transmission with a Currie Truetrac 9-inch rear end with 3.73 gears and a 3-inch aluminum driveshaft.

Hot Rod Service Company also transformed the interior, fitted a new dashboard and gauge cluster with custom gauges, a fiberglass center console, push-button start, remote battery cutoff, power emergency brake, machined pedals, an Alpine stereo system, paddle shifts, a MOMO steering wheel, leather trunk billet sill plates, and a Vintage Air system.
