Audi Sport GmbH managing director Sebastian Grams has revealed new details about the company’s future product lineup.
Speaking to Autocar, Grams said they’ll “bring more SUV models in the RS segment and also in the electric world.” While the company already offers a handful of RS crossovers – including the RS Q3, RS Q3 Sportback, and RS Q8 – there’s still plenty of room for more.
Grams didn’t elaborate, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the company eventually offers an RS Q5. Audi is strangely absent in the segment, which is dominated by the BMW X3 M and Mercedes-AMG GLC 63. Spy photographers have also snapped an RS Q6 e-tron and we can expect additional RS EVs in the future.
While new RS variants are coming, Grams said he doesn’t want “RS inflation” and noted not every model should offer an RS variant. As a result, some models such as the Q7 might remain limited to an S variant.
Grams also talked about the possibility of R8 and TT successors. He noted a new R8 is their “biggest wish,” but said the company has a “lot of tasks to fulfill in different fields” and they “cannot decide these things alone.” Grams was also coy on a new TT as he said it depends on the “platform strategy of the future.”

While Audi is going EV-only, Grams confirmed high-performance plug-in hybrids are coming in the meantime. He said they will be “no less amazing than what you’re driving today” and hinted they’ll allow “more opportunities to design the driving performance to be even cooler for the customer.”
