Following a brief tease last week, Dodge has released the first full teaser video for the seventh and final Last Call special edition.

While the mysterious Challenger doesn’t make an appearance, the Runnin’ Hyde clip foreshadows the car’s “powerful metamorphosis.”

As you can see, the video starts with an IV bag hanging in an empty garage.  While common sense would say to steer clear, a leprechaun hooks himself up and experiences a radical transformation as something powerful is coursing through his veins.  The clip ends with the now ‘badass’ leprechaun being ripped, standing tall, and selling tickets to the ‘gun show.’

While the car is MIA, the leprechaun is likely a reference to its unveiling on March 20.  That’s three days after St. Patrick’s Day, so the timing makes sense.

Dodge will be releasing a new teaser video every week leading up to the unveiling.  The next clip comes out on March 1 and the upcoming videos promise to reveal “clues to the identity, and performance DNA, of the final special edition.”

Mum’s the word, but Dodge has been dropping hints since last summer.  In particular, CEO Tim Kuniskis told us the special edition has an upgraded Hellcat engine that has been tested to extremes including seeing it run at “wide-open throttle for hours and hours on end, 24/7.”

Performance specifications are the biggest mystery, but there’s little doubt Dodge is aiming to surpass the Challenger SRT Demon which featured a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with up to 840 hp (626 kW / 851 PS) and 770 lb-ft (1,042 Nm) of torque.  This earned the car a place in the history books as it was the world’s fastest production model with a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time of 2.3 seconds. The coupe could also run the quarter-mile in 9.65 seconds at 140 mph (225 km/h).
