The Suzuki Jimny is already a very popular off-roader, but the Australian arm of the automaker made it even more desirable with a new special edition. The Suzuki Jimny Heritage features retro decals and comes with a limited availability of 300 units for the Australian market.

Suzuki says that the special edition celebrates the model’s “vibrant 4×4 history from the 70s, 80s and 90s, when hair was long, freedom was everything, and Jimny’s cult following first began”. The highlight is the orange and pink/red ribbon decals running through the profile and rear end, alongside the Jimny Heritage logo with a rhino graphic.

The arguably cool decals can be combined with the White, Jungle Green, Medium Grey, and Bluish Black Pearl exterior colors. Another nostalgic feature is the red mud flaps with white “Suzuki” lettering, while the 15-inch alloy wheels and the LED headlights come standard.

Inside, there is a special cargo tray and the usual Jimny goodies. Standard equipment includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 7-inch infotainment system with navigation, reversing camera, a two-speaker audio system, climate control, cruise control, AEB, and lane-departure warning.

Under the bonnet lies the same naturally-aspirated 1.5-liter engine producing 101 hp (75 kW / 102 PS) and 96 lb-ft (130 Nm) of torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels exclusively through a 5-speed manual gearbox with a separate low-range shifter and the usual AllGrip Pro system.

New Suzuki Jimny Heritage Limited Edition Sends Nostalgic Vibes

The Suzuki Jimny Heritage is priced at AU$ 33,490 (US$ 22,632) before on-road costs. Judging from the popularity of the model Down Under, the 300 units of the special edition will likely be sold out very soon. Mind you, this is not the first time that Suzuki offers retro stickers for the Jimny, as similar kits are already offered in Japan as part of the optional accessory catalog.

The current fourth-gen Suzuki Jimny was originally introduced in 2018, so the automaker is reportedly working on a mid-lifecycle update. Earlier this year Suzuki launched the longer and more practical five-door variant, while a Jimny EV has also been confirmed for the European market.
