Lego celebrated the release of its latest Icons set, with a challenge that was uniquely appropriate for the subject matter. The toy company turned a Land Rover into the hardest-to-reach Lego store on earth and challenged two adventurers to be the first to build the new Classic Defender 90 kit.

Going on sale on April 1 for $239.99 (€209.99/€239.99) the 2,336-piece kit faithfully recreates the classic 1983-2916 Land Rover Defender. Finished in sage green, when complete, it is seven inches (16 cm) tall, seven inches (16 cm) wide, and 13 inches (32 cm) long with all of the accessories attached.

“Bringing the iconic Classic Land Rover Defender to brick life was no easy challenge,” said Kurt Kristiansen, Lego Design Master. “This prestigious car can take you anywhere, so during the design process, we wanted to infuse the Lego set with that sense of adventure.”

Ready for all your off-roading needs, the Defender comes with a roof rack, an engine snorkel, an off-road front bumper with a working winch, side rails, a toolbox, a fire extinguisher, traction plates, and a whole lot more.

None of the accessories are necessary to complete the set, though, meaning that the model is a two-in-one. It can either be assembled as an adventure-ready off-roader, or as a plain-and-simple Defender, more suited to paved roads.

In order to celebrate the new kit, as well as Land Rover‘s 75th anniversary, Lego teamed up with Raha Moharrak, the first Saudi woman to climb Mount Everest and the Seven Summits, as well as Scottish adventurer Aldo Kane.

The two were set the challenge of finding a yellow Land Rover Defender that Lego had parked in the Scottish Highlands. Once there, they had to build the kit, and the first to complete it would be declared the winner—you can see who won in the video above.

“I was so excited when the LEGO Group asked me to be part of this campaign,” said Moharrak. “I build at least one LEGO set each month, so working with the two brands together has been an epic adventure. From getting to race across the Scottish Highlands in a classic Defender to trying to be the first to reach the hardest to reach LEGO store in the world and being one of the first to play with the new set, it really was a dream come true.”
