Following the recent teasers about the chassis and hybrid V12 powertrain of Lamborghini‘s upcoming flagship, the company confirmed the date of the big premiere. The supercar which is known under the code name LB744 will be unveiled on March 29.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of Lamborghini, setting the stage for another chapter in the V12 bloodline. The Miura, Countach, Diablo, Murcielago, and Aventador paved the way for the new and yet-unnamed model which will be significantly more powerful than its predecessor and – for the first time ever – electrified.

Lamborghini has confirmed that the plug-in hybrid setup will produce a combined 1,001 hp (747 kW / 1,015 PS), from a new 6.5-liter V12, and a trio of electric motors, and there’s a new 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. We also know that the “monfuselage” carbon-fiber chassis is 10 percent lighter and offers 25 percent more torsional stiffness compared to the Aventador’s.

The driver will have access to 13 selectable driving modes, including a zero-emission Citta (City) mode, which limits power to 178 hp (132 kW / 180 PS). This is joined by the classic Strada, Sport, and Corsa modes, making the best out of the electrified V12 depending on the circumstances, alongside different settings for the hybrid system, the chassis setup, and the aerodynamics.

While Lamborghini’s official teasers haven’t revealed the exterior design of the new flagship, we already have a pretty good idea of how the LB744 will look thanks to our spy shots and what appears to be a set of leaked photos. In any case, we will know everything about the new raging bull by this time next week.
