Lancia will give us the first proper look at its new styling language at the “Emozione Pu+Ra” event on April 15 in the form of a new two-door sportscar concept. A new teaser reveals the circular roof and wraparound greenhouse of the concept, while confirming it will use a fully electric powertrain.

Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia, described the concept as “the brand manifesto for the next ten years” and an evolution of the Lancia Pu+Ra Zero sculpture that appeared in November 2022. He said it will be “100% electric”, staying true to the automaker’s goal for its future range.

The first teaser showed a portion of the rear end, with round LED taillights under a black spoiler-style panel reminiscent of the Stratos. Lancia now tells us that the horizontal lines on the rear glass are styled after the “Venetian blind-inspired structure of the Beta HPE” from the ’70s. There is no word on the rear bumper though which protrudes from the bodywork and looks like a screen.

Lancia Shows More Of The Upcoming Concept, Confirms Its EV Powertrain

The second teaser is focused on the circular roof which according to Lancia “guarantees a panoramic view” shedding natural light inside the cabin. It also gives us a glimpse of the wraparound greenhouse with the side windows seamlessly connected to the rear windshield. Last but not least, the two-door bodystyle of the concept is evident, as are the sexy curves of the rear fenders. Note that the automaker recently showed us the silhouette of the concept, with its three-box proportions looking similar to the Fulvia.

Those features – alongside the illuminated “calice” grille at the front – will be incorporated into Lancia’s upcoming production models including the Ypsilon supermini that is coming in 2024, the Aurelia crossover set to follow 2026, and the Delta hatchback scheduled for 2028. The concept is also expected to give us a preview of Lancia’s new interior design trying to replicate the “cozy atmospheres of Italian houses” with sustainability, luxury, and technology in mind.
