11 New Movies on Netflix We Can’t Wait To Watch This March

Netflix‘s investment in original content has resulted in a huge catalog of great movies in the past few years. The platform is a source of reliable hits, from blockbuster-style action movies like Carry-On and Back In Action to Oscar-nominated films like Emilia Pérez and Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl. This year, six Netflix originals received a total of 18 Oscar nominations, and with the ceremony airing on March 2, it’s likely the streaming giant will reap a few new statuettes from its investment.

This March marks the arrival of anticipated films like The Electric State, which is the latest film from the Russo brothers, the SpongeBob spin-off Plankton: The Movie and Revelations, a feature developed by the creators of the great South Korean series, Hellbound. There are also dozens of other great titles coming to the platform, from Saoirse Ronan in 2024’s The Outrun to the A24 horror Talk To Me. CHAOS: The Manson Murders (March 7)

Plankton: The Movie is the second SpongeBob SquarePants spin-off film, following Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Story, which came out in 2024. In the new release, SpongeBob and his old foe, Plankton (voiced by Mr. Lawrence), are united with one mission: to stop Plankton’s wife Karen from taking over the world. Oh, and did we mention it’s a musical?

Delicious (March 7)

The Electric State is the latest film from Anthony and Joe Russo, whose previous work on films like Avengers: Endgame and Infinity War primed them for this sci-fi adventure. Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown appears as Michelle, an orphan traveling across the country in search of her missing brother in the aftermath of a civil war between humanity and robots. Chris Pratt plays Keats, a smuggler helping her on the journey, and the cast is rounded out by Stanley Tucci, Giancarlo Esposito, Woody Norman and Ke Huy Quan, with loads of other celebs voicing the robots they meet along the way.

The Outrun (March 18)

Netflix’s feature-length documentary The Twister: Caught In The Storm is told from the perspective of a group of young people in Joplin, Missouri, as they witness a mile-wide tornado hit their hometown on high school graduation day in 2011. The film includes real-life footage, filmed by people in Joplin, that provides a heart-pounding account of the terrifying ordeal.

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera (March 20)

Yeon Sang-ho and Choi Gyu-seok, creators of Netflix’s thrilling Hellbound series, have returned to the platform with their latest project, a feature-length film called Revelations. The film, executive produced by Alfonso Cuarón, is set around the investigation of a missing person. As a local pastor, Sung Min-chan looks into the crime with the desire to punish the perpetrator, and the detective on the case, Lee Yeon-hui, is plagued by personal trauma that also affects his investigation. Ryu Jun-yeol, Shin Hyun-been and Shin Min-jae star in the film, which arrives on March 21.

Little Siberia (March 21)

What do you call a bucket list that you set out to complete when you’re still young? Let’s call it a life list. Based on the book of the same name by Lori Nelson Spielman, The Life List stars Sofia Carson as Alex Rose, a young woman whose mother (played by Connie Britton) encourages her to complete the list of ambitions she wrote for herself when she was younger. On the road to finding herself, she unearths family secrets and finds romance.
