Wald boosted the Land Cruiser 250 Series’ head-turning appeal with a wide bodykit and new wheels

Wald offers one of the wildest tuning packages for the Land Cruiser Prado.
The bodykit includes wide fenders, bespoke bumpers, and an extended roof.
The tuner has also previewed a slammed version featuring different wheels.
Wald International has thrown all restraint out the window with its new “Desert Series Black Bison Edition” for the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. The modifications are so extensive, they make the off-roading icon look like Japan’s answer to the Brabus G-Class—if the G-Class had a serious identity crisis.
After teasing the world with renderings last year, Wald unveiled the real deal at the 2025 Osaka Auto Messe. While the original designs included both a lifted and a slammed version, we’ve only seen the lifted version come to life so far.
The Black Bison Edition is, unsurprisingly, all about aggressive visuals. It features a custom bumper with intricate intakes, extra DRLs, and an aluminum skid plate. Adding to the look is a large hood scoop and an aerodynamic roof-mounted add-on, complete with integrated fins and LEDs.
The side profile gets some serious flair, thanks to wide fender extensions that house the beefy new wheels wrapped in mud-terrain tires. This particular build also benefits from a lift kit and wider tracks to further enhance its road presence and off-road capability.

Moving to the back, Wald has added a sporty bumper with a diffuser, decorative vents on the fenders, and a wing mounted on the rear spoiler that, frankly, feels a bit out of place.
The street-focused version that exists only in the digital realm takes things even further with larger wheels wrapped in performance tires and a lowering kit. Sure, this would significantly hamper the Prado’s off-road chops, but let’s be honest: there’s definitely a crowd out there who loves the idea of a “tough” SUV that can barely clear a speed bump.
There’s no word on performance upgrades yet, though those looking for more grunt can always find ways to juice up the hybrid, gasoline, or diesel engine (depending on your market).
Wald hasn’t released any pricing details for the Desert Edition Black Bison kit for the Land Cruiser Prado, nor has it mentioned availability outside of Japan. But if you’re itching for a similar kit, Wald has already rolled out one for the Land Cruiser 300 Series. So, at least you’ve got options… if you’re really into this kind of thing.
