Ferraris are already so well-engineered from the factory that, more often than not, when an aftermarket tuner steps in to make improvements, they end up doing more harm than good. However, Novitec is a rare exception. This tuner has the ability to take an already extraordinary Ferrari and make it even better, something it seems to have done with its take on the SF90 XX.

Novitec’s first priority was to ensure the SF90 XX sounds like the hypercar it’s supposed to be, not some muffled creature stifled by noise and emissions regulations. To that end, they’ve developed a new exhaust system for the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, squeezing an extra 30 horsepower out of it. The result is a total of 1,046 hp and 620 lb-ft (840 Nm) of torque, more than enough to satisfy anyone’s need for speed.

For those who care about weight as much as sound, the exhaust can be made from either stainless steel or Inconel, the same material used in Formula 1. So, yes, this thing can scream and shed pounds while it’s at it. The tuner has been wise enough not to mess with the complex hybrid systems and electric motors, leaving them as is.

What Novitec has done is work its magic on some parts of the Ferrari SF90 XX’s design. The most obvious change is the fitment of new 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, clad in 255/35 and 325/25 high-performance tires. These wheels have been complemented by new sports springs that drop the ride height by 25 mm (1 inch) at both the front and rear.

The final change made by Novitec is the fitment of carbon covers for the wing mirrors. This SF90 XX is finished in a gorgeous shade of blue and is actually a customer car, although Novitec hasn’t said how much this customer paid for the upgrades. The tuner will happily alter the interior of any SF90 XX that comes through its doors, ensuring the car’s cabin looks just as dramatic as the exterior.
