  • This Corvette Z06 is a Convertible with both the 3LZ and Z06 packages included.
  • The Cacti Green paint scheme likely won’t appeal to all potential buyers or fans.
  • Carbon fiber accessories give this Z06 an unmistakable, bold presence on the road.

If I had just over $140,000 to spend on a high-performance sports car, I can’t think of anything I’d rather own than a new Chevy Corvette Z06. While it isn’t cheap, it’s a relative bargain compared to its European competitors, and an especially well-equipped example recently traded hands for $143,000, or $17,000 under its sticker price. Z06 owners hoping to flip their cars for a quick buck may be disappointed, but this is good news for buyers.

In the US, the Corvette Z06 starts at a touch over $112,000, but this example is a Convertible 3LZ model with an original MSRP of $130,850 with an extra $28,035 in options on top. We think the car looks superb, although there are probably some who won’t like the spec.

First is the color. This Z06 has been painted in Cacti Green, which is one of the less popular colors for the 2024 ‘Vette. As far as shades of green go, it’s relatively unassuming and perhaps isn’t as flamboyant a color as a car like this deserves. In terms of options, the car includes the Z06 Ultimate Package with Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, Z07 suspension, and the full carbon fiber aero package.

Other important options include the front axle lift system, a must for any C8 Corvette. It also has the stealth interior trim package, black aluminum exhaust tips, and painted Carbon Flash black wing mirrors.

Found inside is Artemis Nappa leather with loads of carbon fiber trimmings and a 14-speaker Bose sound system. The car had a total price of $160,380, including all the options, and was sold with just 628 miles (1,010 km) on the clock.

For as remarkable as the C8 Corvette Z06 is, production of it is not limited, so it’s unlikely to be a hugely desirable collector’s car in the years to come and will continue to depreciate. If a Z06 is currently out of your budget, we suggest waiting a while, as prices will inevitably dip below the $100,000 mark.
