Porsche’s latest 992.2-generation 911 GT3 Touring comes with a hefty price tag of $222,500, or almost double the cost of the entry-level Carrera. While that’s out of reach for most of us, Techart’s new design and tuning packages offer a more accessible way to elevate your ride, without the over-the-top flair found in some of their other kits.

Techart has developed a program of body mods for the 992.2 that include a GT3-style twin-scoop frunk lid and vented fenders, a rear ducktail spoiler, front splitter, side skirts and rear diffuser. They work with both the base Carrera and also the GTS, which leaves Porsche’s production line with active cooling slats in the front bumper and closer-set tailpipes in the rear.
Buyers can save money by ordering the parts in GRP, but the exposed carbon version looks the business, the hood in particular being reminiscent of the one on the old 911 GT2. If you go the carbon route you can choose from matte or gloss trim, and since it would be awful to scrape that lovely weave on the ground, Techart also offers its Noselift System, which isn’t something you’ll find on a Porsche configurator.
There are also carbon trim options inside, plus various leather and Alcantara possibilities with color-coded stitching for the steering wheel, and even color coded bolts for the spoke-mounted switch panels and rotary drive mode selector dial.
But it’s not all about the pose. Suspension packages are on hand to sharpen the handling – not that any reviews we’ve seen have lighlighted any deficiency in the stock 911 in that department – and a tuning kit and sports exhaust for the base Carrera provides a healthy power upgrade and some fruitier tailpipe tunes.
If the 992.2 disappointed in any respect it was probably that Porsche didn’t give the low-ranking models much of a boost under the hood, saving the fireworks for the new 911 GTS hybrid. Techart’s solution is its Techtronic Powerkit, which bumps the output of the Carrera’s 3.0-liter flat-six to from 388 hp (394 PS) to 497 hp (504 hp) and lifts torque from 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) to 406 lb-ft (550 Nm).
Similar kits for the Carrera S and GTS, which make 473 hp (480 PS) and 534 hp (541 PS) in stock form, will be available soon.
