The 621 hp Maserati MCPura has joined the Carabinieri and will be used to transport organs

Maserati unveiled the MCPura this summer and now it’s joining the Carabinieri. This is a first for the brand and it makes one heck of an impression.
As you may recall, the MCPura is essentially an updated version of the MC20 with a different name. It features a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis as well as a twin-turbo 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 producing 621 hp (470 kW / 630 PS) and 538 lb-ft (730 Nm) of torque.

The engine is connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels. This setup enables the 3,252 lb (1,475 kg) super car to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds, before hitting a top speed in excess of 199 mph (320 km/h).
While that would be overkill for most police departments, this MCPura is racing against the clock in a battle for life or death. In this case, it will be used for the “urgent transportation of organs and blood.”
To help aid in its mission, the car has been given a traditional Carabinieri livery as well as emergency lights on the roof and bumpers.
We can also see a lightly revised interior, which features new switchgear as well as carbon fiber trim and Sabelt seats wrapped in microfiber upholstery. There also appears to be special equipment to help sustain organs during transport.
Besides the Maserati, the Carabinieri took delivery of a new Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. It features a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 producing 513 hp (382 kW / 520 PS). It’s joined by a sport-tuned suspension, a mechanical locking rear differential, and carbon fiber accents.
