The 2027 Cayenne has been spied with a lightly revised front end and new lighting units

• Porsche is working on a facelift for the gas-powered Cayenne.
• Its sports a lightly revised front end and updated headlights.
• We can also expect new taillights and revamped rear badging.

Porsche unveiled the Cayenne Electric last fall, but the company hasn’t forgotten about the ICE-powered model. Quite the opposite as spy photographers have snapped a facelifted prototype undergoing cold weather testing in Europe.

The model appears to be the Cayenne S as it features a familiar front end with a handful of subtle changes. The most notable are angular fins in the outside air intakes, which mimic those found on some versions of the facelifted 911.

The changes don’t stop there as we can see new vertical lights at the outside edges of the intake. They appear to function as turn signals and daytime running lights, and will apparently replace the ones that were previously located on the horizontal bars.

Speaking of illumination, we can see lightly revised headlights. Unfortunately, they’re covered in special camouflage that distorts their look.

The rest of the design largely carries over, but there are revised taillights with a wider lower band. The “PORSCHE” lettering is also covered, implying it will likely be updated as well.

Spy photographers didn’t get a look inside, but this appears to be a relatively minor update. That being said, we wouldn’t be surprised to find a few changes including an updated infotainment system.

Engine options will likely mirror the existing lineup, although Porsche officials recently announced plans to “streamline our future product portfolio and reduce complexity and variance.” It remains unclear if the facelifted Cayenne will see any cuts, but the company currently offers six versions in the United States, excluding the seven variations of the Cayenne Coupe.

This includes everything from the entry-level Cayenne to the range-topping Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid. The former has a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 348 hp (260 kW / 353 PS), while the latter has a high-performance plug-in hybrid powertrain with a combined output of 729 hp (544 kW / 739 PS).
