The Honda N-Van receives a few model year updates in Japan.
It gains a digital cluster and a turbo option for the flagship trim.
Standard equipment has been improved across the lineup.
Honda is keeping its popular N-Van fresh for the 2026 model year in Japan, introducing mild upgrades alongside a more capable version of its adventure-ready flagship trim.
The Honda N-Van has been around since 2018, but remains a favorite for urban deliveries and weekend camping trips thanks to its signature pillarless passenger side and flat-folding seats. The design hasn’t changed for 2026, as the model still manages to look fresh.
Inside, the most noticeable update is the adoption of a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a two-spoke steering wheel. These are borrowed from the fully electric N-Van e: and the similarly-sized N-Box. Furthermore, the high-spec Fun trim swaps the USB-A ports for USB-C connections.
For those who use the N-Van to escape the city, the flagship “Nature Style” edition – previously known as the Style+ Nature – has been enhanced. The highlight is the addition of the more potent turbo 660cc three-cylinder engine. This is good for 63 hp (64 PS) rather than the 52 hp (39 kW / 53 PS) of the naturally aspirated version, making the N-Van more suitable for the highway.
The Nature Style retains its black accents and the matching outdoorsy decals, while the Fun gains fresh color options such as the Autumn Yellow Pearl and Botanical Green Pear. Buyers can further spice up the styling, technology, and practicality of the N-Van using optional accessories from the official Honda Access suite.
Improved Standard Equipment
The 2026 update brings new features across the N-Van range. Front parking sensors and a post-collision braking system are now standard equipment, joining the existing Honda Sensing ADAS Suite. Furthermore, the entry-level “G” and “L” workhorse trims gain an engine start/stop button and a sudden acceleration suppression function.
Pricing has been increased compared to the outgoing model due to the added features. The 2026 Honda N-Van starts from ¥1,498,200 ($9,500) for the base-spec N-Van G with 2WD and a manual gearbox, and climbs to ¥2,269,300 ($14,400) for the flagship Turbo Fun Nature Style with 4WD and a CVT.
