Actor David Warner, Seen in ‘Star Trek,’ ‘Titanic’ and ‘Tron,’ Dies at 80 – CNET

Iconic British actor David Warner died Sunday from “a cancer-related illness,” the BBC reported. The 80-year-old had a decades-long career that included The Omen, Tron, Titanic and multiple Star Trek roles.

Warner also appeared in Time Bandits, Doctor Who, Twin Peaks and Mary Poppins Returns. He was a prolific voice actor as well, having played Ra’s Al Ghul in Batman: The Animated Series, Herbert Langdon in the ’90s Spider-Man animated series, Archmage in Gargoyles, and appeared in numerous Doctor Who audio dramas

“He will be missed hugely by us, his family and friends, and remembered as a kind-hearted, generous and compassionate man, partner and father, whose legacy of extraordinary work has touched the lives of so many over the years. We are heartbroken,” his family told the BBC in a statement.
