Meta, NBCUniversal Partnership Announced At Meta Connect – CNET

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, announced a multi-year partnership with NBCUniversal at its Meta Connect event Tuesday.

Meta announced the partnership will let fans of The Office experience the world of Dunder Mifflin in the Metaverse. People will also be able to experience content from production studios like Blumhouse, Dreamworks and more.

“Fans will be able to engage in these experiences in Horizon Worlds, at Universal Studios theme parks and customize their avatars,” Vishal Shah, VP of Metaverse for Meta, said.

The Peacock streaming app will also be coming to Quest headsets as part of the partnership.

People should expect this content in the Metaverse starting in 2023.
